Enterprise Charter School

Enterprise Students Do Well in Tech Wars

On May 21st, 2009 Enterprise Charter School students participated in the Western New York Tech Wars competition at Erie Community College. ECC Tech Wars is both an academic and creative technology-based competition that brings middle and high school students together in project-based games of skill, knowledge, and ability. Students design their projects, test and rebuild them, and compete in a variety of technology events against other students. For more information about Tech Wars 2009 visit the website: http://www.wnytea.com/ECCTW.html

This year, ECS students Dajae Rogers, Diego Segarra, Gabrielle Petty, John Rodriguez, and Josh Williams, under the guidance of Mr. Neiss, chose to participate in the Mouse Trap Vehicle event. They had to design, build, and test their vehicle to travel the greatest distance after three rounds of competition. We are very excited to announce that our teams came in 1st, 2nd, and 4th places, out of 26 cars, in the Middle School Mouse Trap Vehicle event. We are very proud of this accomplishment. GO ECS!!!
