Leadership Change at Enterprise Charter School
I wanted to reach out to you all and let you know that after a focused search and interview process the Enterprise Charter School Board of Trustees has named Mr. Paul Hashem Interim Head of School. Mr. Hashem comes to Enterprise with over 45 years of experience in Education. Mr. Hashem began his career as an elementary classroom teacher in Lackawanna and over his 40 year career there moved into administration eventually becoming the Superintendent of School for the Lackawanna district.
After his retirement Mr. Hashem has taken on several Interim Principal and Superintendent positions helping districts manage leadership transitions. The Board feels we have truly found a perfect fit for what will be required of the Head of School over these coming months. I think you will find, as I have, Mr. Hashem has a deep passion for education and is energized by this opportunity to ensure the children of Enterprise continue to receive the highest quality education.
Mr. Hashem will begin his role at the school full time beginning December 7, 2015. In the meantime, Mrs. Melissa Laun will be serving at the Interim Head of School. I invite all of you to stop in and meet Mr. Hashem and welcome him to our Enterprise family.
Lastly, I want to remind all of you that the coming months will be critical to the future of Enterprise. As you know the school is up for Charter renewal by our authorizer the Buffalo Board of Education. The Enterprise Board of Trustees and school administration need your help telling the Buffalo Board of Education just how much Enterprise means to you and your child.
The school is looking for parents that are willing to present their storv to the Buffalo Board of Education when our renewal is reviewed. If you are interested in taking on this important work please contact your child's classroom teacher or Director as soon as possible. We all know the great things that happen here at Enterprise now we need the school to stand together and send that message to Buffalo!
