Response to Intervention (RtI) functions as a significant educational strategy or framework designed to identify students who may be at-risk for substandard academic and behavioral performance. Teachers intervene by providing supplemental interventions targeted to the student’s needs. Enterprise Charter School believes:
Under New York State regulations, all students will be a part of the Rtl process. Most children will only need a tier 1 intervention which will take place within the core curriculum. Some child will require additional time to completely master a concept and will receive both Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions. Few children will be nonresponsive to the high-quality instruction in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Under these circumstances, a child will need more intensive, focused instruction to meet grade level expectations.
